DESCRIPTION:Led by Marilyn Shinyei and Ben Robins\, the first in a series of 6 sessions. \nSpoiler Alert: There will be dark humour and lots of laughs. \nTentative dates are: Nov 24\, Dec 8\, Jan 12 & 26 and Feb 9 & 23 \nWe have an End-of-Life planner available that you can purchase for $12 (optional).\nIn this first session we will get to know each other\, and find out what you would like to see in the sessions that follow. Here are some possible topics to be thinking about: \n\nOur beliefs around dying and an after-life\nDealing with the aging and death of parents\nHaving those difficult conversations with your parents\, your spouse\, your kids\nDealing with your own aging and inevitable end\nDownsizing: your stuff\, your accommodations\nPlanning your own memorial service\nWriting your own obituary\nDying with Dignity and Medical Aid in Dying\nUnfinished business: wills\, executors\, personal directives\, power of attorney\, etc.\nOptional endings: death doulas\, home funerals\, green burials\, how to avoid the big sell\nDealing with grief\, asking for help\, finding support\n\nLooking forward to seeing you there.
