SUMMARY:Service: Writing the Book of Life
DESCRIPTION:Everything that happens\, everywhere in the universe\, is written into the book of life. One day the book will come to an end\, perhaps with no one left to read it. So what shall we write?

SUMMARY:Artificial Intelligence: What Gods Are We Awakening
DESCRIPTION:The Unitarian Ray Kurzweil predicted in the 1990s that a convolution of exponential curves would lead to runaway growth in artificial brainpower in the late 2020s. He recently said that his timeline is still accurate. What gods are we awakening? \nWe will have a new member ceremony during the service. If you would like to become a member\, contact Ben by Sept 10th\, minister@uuch.ca

SUMMARY:Service: The Path to Reconciliation: Doing Our Own Work
DESCRIPTION:We frequently look to First Nation people to give us\, the Settlers\, guidance on how to pursue reconciliation for past injustices and trauma we have caused them. Often their retort is: Don’t ask us to lead you down the path. You have to do your own work!  What are they challenging us to do?  What is our own work?\nPresented by members of the Reconciliation and Dismantling Racism Committee
