We are hosting this annual interfaith service that is a part of the Halifax Pride Festival.
Why do certain songs have a special meaning and still resonate with us sometimes years after we 6rst heard them. The Afterchoir will explore the power of song and endeavor to play for and with you any early submitted requests that they receive.
This Sunday we celebrate poetry by hearing poems that speak to us through images of birds. Such a part of our everyday world and yet so wildly different from us, birds capture something of the strange wonder of ordinary life.
In the second of our two services devoted to birds, we will hear thoughts on what it can mean to observe them, whether with an educated gaze or a casual amateur’s bemusement. Either way of looking can reward us richly.
