Religious Exploration for Children & Youth (RE)

The goal for UU RE is to provide an age-appropriate program in a relaxed and fun atmosphere that:

• promotes the principles and values of Unitarian Universalism
• honours all religions and prepares children and youth for living in a pluralistic society
• helps them to develop and express their values and spirituality
• deepens their connections with nature
• provides guidelines for ethical living
• fosters inclusiveness for children and youth of varying abilities; and promotes inclusiveness in the wider society

We are currently collecting names of interested families, to regrow our RE programs – Contact Ben at minister@uuch.ca.

Sept through mid-June we have child care, provided by a youth who grew up in our community.

Our Religious Exploration Coordinator

I recently moved to Halifax from Montreal, where I was born and raised. Having completed a BFA in Art History with a minor in Religions and Cultures, and an MA in Art History at Concordia University, I am now pursuing a second Master’s Degree in Art Education at NSCAD.

My main passions in life have not wavered since I was a child: making art, learning and teaching, and exploring the mysteries of the Universe. I am thrilled to be in a position in which I can stay true to these passions while living by my values. I strive to foster a supportive, open-hearted space in which children are met with radical acceptance as they embark on their spiritual journeys within this wonderful community. No question is too big, and there is so much to learn from each other at every age!

My hobbies include writing songs on the guitar, drawing, and walking in nature.
